Discipleship

 

A Disciple of Jesus.

  1. A Disciple is someone who is led by someone else, in the case of Christianity a follower of Jesus.
  2. A Christian Disciple builds a deep relationship with Jesus and a deep understanding of his teaching.
  3. A Disciple does all he/she can to follow in the lifestyle and teaching of Jesus.
  4. A Disciple commits himself/herself to other disciples so that a community may be built in order that mission and outreach, support and learning and growth may take place.
  5. As Disciples of Jesus we meet together at regular times to give Worship to Jesus and to the Father and to the Holy Spirit and seek His will and the tasks he calls us too.
  6. A Disciple when ready will strive to serve the people and the  community we live in and to make more Disciples.

 

Christian Discipleship.

  1. Christian Discipleship is the journey into a union with God.
  2. Christian discipleship is the means by which mankind is transformed in to the Children of God 'the beloved'.
  3. Christian discipleship is the plan that God give to His son Jesus in order that the world might come back into relationship with God as was intended at the beginning of creation, this he called 'the Kingdom of God'.
